My sister and I stay here yearly on our way to Florida for the winter. As usual, everything was fantastic; the staff was very friendly, and the manager was extremely friendly and welcoming.
Very convenient for skydivers going to Skydive Carolina which is less than 10 minutes away. Is a fairly new property. Room was very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast in the morning with abundant choices. Staff friendly and service was efficient. Check out The Country Omlet restaurant right across the street for some delicious country cooking.
I recommend staying not only for the hotel amenities and wonderfully comfortable beds but just to see how beautiful the Christmas decorations are! Great job!!!!
Well maintained, what's an extraordinary staff that was very conscientious about their facility, and was very helpful for myself and my family as we were displaced with a disabled vehicle while traveling was very helpful contacting repair shop and being very courteous and giving us an extra time to check out, highly recommend them. Definitely FIVE STAR,
I traveled to the area from Florida in search of refuge from hurricane Irma. The evacuation was unplanned and I sought every discount to make this trip more affordable. I used my discount checked into this hotel Sept. 9th. This evening around 4pm, as the aftermath of Irma traveled to the Charlotte the owner of the hotel aggressively approached my 15 year old daughter in the hall I went out to find out the problem. He wanted written proof that I was entitled to a discount or he was going to charge me the difference. I explained that we left our homes with only important papers. He then threatened to call the authorities to have my family and I removed. Moments later Chester police came and asked us to leave. The owner refused to refund the the days I paid for and wouldn't be able to use. My girls and I rode through the storm and sought out another hotel in Columbia, SC. Please don't support a business with a own who's inhuman. He clearly wants to make a profit off of others misfortunes.
First time staying in a 2-floor Hotel with NO ELEVATOR..Stayed here July 7-9. Check in took one minute or less. Staff was pleasant. Decent size room but smelled of mildew. Beds were comfortable. Carpet needed replacement. I travel with my own toiletries but there towels were dingy white. Noticeable dust beside and behind refrigerator. Pool was filthy dirty. Building materials left in parking lot. Breakfast was not bad at all. Same hot menu (sausage patties and scrambled eggs) both Saturday and Sunday. Decent size breakfast area. Only two benches outside for guests to utilize. I suggest adding more benches and a few tables so guests can enjoy the outside fresh air without having to stand. Hotel could use updating.
However, this year the Christmas decorations were FANTASTIC!!! They were much better than any of the previous years we have been here. Actually, I have never seen any hotel put so much effort in to making their lobby and public areas so beautiful. These decorations take the cake!
